Abstract:	近年来,在党中央、国务院的领导下,环保工作取得了积极进展,但随着我国工业化和城市化进程的不断发展,环境污染事件亦呈现出愈演愈烈的趋势。云南阳宗海砷污染事件、湖南浏阳镉污染事件、陕西凤翔儿童血铅超标事件……各地因重金属造成的严重污染事件频频发生,引起社会广泛关注。国务院对此高度重视,各级环保部门决心落实责任,切实推进重金属污染治理,促进经济社会可持续发展,不断提高人们生活水平和质量。
